2/15 to 2/21

This week had a decent start too it. I decided to spend some time playing my best game today and spent about a 1.5 hours 3 tabling 3/6 Limit Holdem on Stars. I got in 225-250 hands and turned about a $125 profit. Nothing spectacular just played my normal game. I did have QQ cracked by K6 in a $50+ pot and KK cracked by A9os in another $50+ pot so it could have been very nice if not for those. Lately though I feel like I am throwing money away in MTT’s I dropped $70+ in buyins for the MTT’s I played and Heads up SNG’s and ended the night up $51. Definitely better than a sharp stick in the eye but I sure look forward to getting the MTT’s going again. Without some large cashes in those there is no way I will ever reach my yearly goal. Thursday was some more Multi Tabling 2/4. I sat in at 4 tables for about an hour and had some good success there. I also won my only heads up SNG so overall it was a $75 or so night. Friday night I was mostly getting ready for the Vegas Trip. I did spend about an hour playing some 5/10 Limit after busting out of a the $10 MTT that OfficerPizza won for slightly over $2,000. I had one monster pot and felt like I was heading off to Vegas on a good note after winning about $200. Saturday was Vegas day. We got there just in time to see the very end of the Arkansas Razorbacks OT win over #7 Florida. This was the good sign I was needing. I played some table games and a little slots before heading over to the Mirage to play some 10/20 Limit. I am very comfortable playing slightly higher limits live as opposed to online. I waited until about 11:30pm to head over as I knew the games only get better the later it gets. I took some sick beats but the players were so bad I managed to turn a profit of $242. The drawback of playing live is all the tipping. I was raking in some sizable pots so I was tipping about $3 every hand I won and then spent at least $20 on tips to the cocktail waitress since I was drinking Vodka and Tonics like they were going out of style. Sunday afternoon I played an $80 buyin tournament and played well but JJ has a real hard time beating QQ. I decided the Bellagio was the way to go Sunday night I sat in on an 8/16 Limit game for about 4 hours and again took some ridiculous beats but still managed a $30 profit. I actually didn’t gamble at all on Monday as we went to a taping of ‘The View’ in the morning before we left Vegas and when we got home I was tired so I went to bed at a little after 9:00. Tuesday finished off the week on an up note. I still wasn’t in the mood to play much but I managed to play a couple of 2/4 tables for about 30 minutes. I hit the nuts on the turn and played a capped 3 way pot on the turn and river and took down a $108 pot playing 2/4. I got up shortly after with a profit of $68. I’m going to try and get in a few MTT’s this week and see if I am out of my MTT funk yet. It was a nice week profit wise but not really alot of playing. Good luck to all of us this coming week.
