1/15 to 1/21

The previous week pretty much carried over to Sunday. Really a no nothing day for myself. I tried to qualify for the Stars 500K and missed and then blew a chip lead in a $20 Heads up SNG. I did win it all back playing at the cash tables and then managed to take win a $30 Heads up on UB before the Monthly Stake game on Stars with Irongirl. She came close to the cash and I went out early when my AJ ran into someone who slow played AK. On the bright side I did manage to rail Mattswoboda17 in the Stars 100R which he won taking home over 23K. Was a very inspirational performance. The week continues. Monday was another slightly down day. Sometimes I wonder how those that just play MTT’s do it. I had a nice day playing some 2/4 on UB and Stars but then lost my only 2 Heads up matches and my tournament buyin and ended down on the day. Sometimes I think about just playing limit cash games all the time and figure I could more than likely accomplish my objectives but there is nothing like a deep finish in a big MTT. I guess that will always draw me to those. It doesn’t seem like I am thinking clearly the last few days so hopefully that will change. I have a good feeling about Tuesday night. Tuesday was still a down day. Sometime I wonder if I even know how to play this game. Busted in a MTT and lost 4 of 5 Heads up SNG’s so I called it a night down a bit. I am starting to get a little concerned about the decline in my bankroll. Well hump day saw a little bit of a different outlook. I Played very good other then the one mistake that crippled me in a PL Holdem tournament on Stars but was very close to a huge chip lead as we entered the money. I did bubble but played good otherwise. I then hit the heads up SNG’s but at the $10 level as my roll was giving me concerns. I managed to pretty much dominate the matches I played and won all 5 I played with a couple of $20 ones included. I also had a nice day at Stars 2/4 tables when I hit Quad Kings and then 3 hands later woke up with a Steel Wheel (My First) on the turn and both times got reraised on the river. I guess they were trying to get me off my hand. The end of the week really kept on going the same way. Thursday and Friday were more down days. I am having real concerns as to when this streak is going to stop. Saturday may have been the end to it. I really didn’t play too much this weekend. We did have the last longer bet on Saturday for the 4 $20 180 MTT’s on Stars which I was able to cash in 13th in one and win the last longer for $150 so after all buyins I was able to turn a $100+ profit to end the week on a high note but still down a fairly small amount. This is now 2 weeks in a row so I guess I can officially say I am in a losing streak. Maybe next week will be better.
