Goals for 2006
This year I have decided to keep a log of my poker play. It will be a very informal journal of wins and losses for each week throughout the year. Hopefully there will be very few entries in the losses column I have a few goals that I hope to reach this year. I guess the most important goal that I hope to attain is to profit $45,000 for the year. This will be consistent with the growth that I have had over my first two years of playing. My first year of playing showed a profit of about $5,000 while last year, my second, showed a profit of over $15,000. About $10,000 came over the last 3 months of the year as I had a very dry beginning to the year but the cards started to turn in the early summer. Other goals that I have for this year is to be able to play in a few B&M tournaments. I will also try and qualify online for some larger buyin land based events as I will finally be able to travel to these now that my wife has most of her health concerns behind her. I plan to play a mixture of Multi Table Tournaments (MTT’s), Heads Up Sit-n-go’s (SNG’s) and Limit cash games between 2/4 and 5/10. I have no real desire to play higher online but as my profits and comfort levels increase I may look to play higher levels by the end of the year. I have no real set schedule but generally I will be playing after 8:00 as I refuse to allow poker to get in the way of time with my daughters and wife. Obviously there will be exceptions to play a few early PokerAnalysis league games and on the weekends.
