Well it’s always good to start the week off with a bang and Sunday I did just that. I really didn’t play too much on Sunday. I busted out in one of Pacific’s 10K’s fairly deep in it but no cash. I then remembered the nightly Guaranteed rebuy on Absolute. It starts a little early so I miss it many of the nights but like to play them when I remember them. It turned out to be a great decision. I didn’t manage to accumulate many chips during the rebuy period because of 1 very bad beat with an all in with KK vs. KQ.. A Q on the flop and another on the turn cost me a huge pot. After spending 50 on the buyin, rebuys and double addon I managed to BUY myself an above average chip stack. As a side note it sure is funny to see people cry about the level of play in rebuys. When will people understand that most of the time if they aren’t going to rebuy or addon they are just dead money. Anyways, I started to chip up right after the break and managed to have a top 10 stack when we entered the money. I woke up with AA in the BB and got them cracked by Q10 with a flop of 1010K and was then down to about 35th with 45 to go. A few steal and a race win later and I had enough to get deep. I managed to make the FT in 8th chip position and managed to hold on till 4th and a cash of $1,054. Not what I was after but definitely helps January. Today was heading towards a good day and then the unthinkable happened. To make a long story short I was in 6th position in Pacific’s 10K when my computer was dragging. So at the break I decided I needed to shut down and reboot. When I did this the software booted me out of the tournament. I went from 6th in chips to out during the break without playing a hand. I emailed them last night and hadn’t heard back yet. I will not be satisfied with just my buyin back. I am very doubtful that I will ever play there again. It makes me sad as I really like the nightly 10K but as of right now that is not acceptable. Overall, it was a losing night. Tonight I had such a bad outlook on the game. I played poorly so I didn’t play much. What I did play I lost. Even though I had 2 losing day at the end of the month I did have a positive month. I will review shortly.
